UMC was founded in 2010 – at the beginning of the new cafe racer scene
UMC, founded in 2010 during the emergence of the cafe racer scene, gained recognition in BikeEXIF editor Chris Hunter’s influential book ‘Ride’ in 2013. Since then, Adam and Hugo, the founders, have constructed over 100 custom bikes for clients worldwide from their workshops in London and San Francisco.
UMC motorcycles have achieved global exposure through features in print, film, and online platforms such as Playboy, GQ, Cycle World, BikeEXIF, Jay Leno’s Garage, and the recent film ‘Oil in the Blood.’ Collaborating with both individual clients and renowned factory brands like Ducati, Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Yamaha, and Zero is a core aspect of UMC’s work.
