Flat track racing, one of the oldest motorsport disciplines globally, continues to captivate enthusiasts with its simple yet addictive charm. American manufacturers have historically dominated the scene, with Japanese competitors close behind. However, now, a European contender is entering the arena in a unique manner. Trevor Motorcycles, a premium Belgian brand known for partnering with top suppliers, is making waves with its DTRe Stella electric flat track machine. In a significant development, they have opened orders for US customers.

Trevor’s Commitment to Excellence

Trevor Motorcycles stands as a pioneer in high-performance electric motorcycles, particularly with a ‘dirt bike’ focus. They proudly collaborate with industry leaders based in Belgium. The DTRe Stella is their latest offering, designed to conquer the American market, where flat-track racing thrives. Handcrafted in Belgium, like their road-legal counterparts, the DTRe Stella is the result of a passionate team with decades of experience in the motorcycle industry.

Premium Design and Emission-Free Performance

Jeroen-vincent Nagels, co-founder and Technical Director of Trevor, expresses excitement about launching the DTRe Stella in the US market. It offers a premium, design-centric alternative in a market filled with electric vehicles. This performance machine boasts zero active emissions, zero pollution, and a nearly silent ride.

Innovative Partnerships for Quality

Trevor’s partnership with fellow Belgian EV racers, Sarolea Performance Technology, contributes to the DTRe’s excellence. Sarolea, with a background in aerospace and defense, has helped create a lightweight trellis chromoly frame and a sophisticated suspension system using Ohlins components.

Top-Notch Components

The DTRe Stella doesn’t compromise on parts. Beringer handles the entire braking package, ensuring both power and lightweight design. The wheels, constructed by Haan wheels with Excel rims, measure 19 inches in both the front and rear. They are paired with Mitas flat track tires for optimal performance. The monocoque body, reminiscent of flat track designs, features a raised tail and customizable color options.

Impressive Power and Range

The DTRe Stella’s power and mileage figures dispel common misconceptions about electric motorcycles. Its air-cooled brushless DC 3-phase motor delivers 11kW of peak power but boasts an impressive 317Nm of torque at the rear tire. A direct chain drive and single-speed transmission, powered by an AFAM® chain, efficiently transfer this torque. The C-Battery 2.7kWh Lithium-ion unit, positioned in the frame for ideal weight distribution, can recharge to 100% in just over an hour with a 3Kw charger. This translates to a tested range of 90km, eliminating range anxiety for most riders.

Speed and Accessibility

Despite lacking a gearbox, the DTRe Stella reaches a top speed of over 90km/h, defying conventional limitations. With a seat height of 910mm, it offers a lower and more accessible option compared to full-size dirt bikes. This remarkable machine can be yours for an MSRP of $11,975, inviting all enthusiasts to join the electric revolution in flat-track racing.
