With the 2024 Games now finished, DAB Motors is celebrating the spirit of sports through an exciting collection of five custom electric motorbike designs. The collection, titled ‘A la gloire du sport,’ showcases themed bikes that reflect various sports, incorporating vibrant colors and cultural references into each design.
These unique proposals come from the DAB Custom Studio (DCS), a specialized branch dedicated to crafting distinct adaptations for customers. Using the DAB 1α as a foundation, the French motorcycle brand, which joined forces with Peugeot Motocycles in 2023, embraces the triumph of Paris this year by merging the worlds of sport and motorcycling. Each bike represents a different sport, featuring colors inspired by the Olympic rings.
DAB Motors has a history of drawing inspiration from BMX culture and retro video games, and this collection takes that creativity further with playful designs dedicated to Surfing, Basketball, Skateboarding, Tennis, and Boxing.
Sport-Inspired Designs:
- Basketball (Yellow): This design captures the dynamic energy of basketball while highlighting its ties to street culture and hip-hop.
- Boxing (Red): With a bold red finish symbolizing strength, this bike includes golden side panels reminiscent of championship belts and features boxing gloves on the seat strap. A fun twist is added with Mike Tyson’s famous face tattoo on the iconic DAB front plate.
- Tennis (Green): Focusing on elegance, this design includes a front “panier” for carrying tennis balls and picnic essentials. A green and white tartan seat complements its refined look along with a racket holder.
- Surfing (Blue): Celebrating the adventurous spirit of surfing, this ocean blue motorbike comes equipped with a surf rack and a DAB surfboard. Features like a blue neoprene seat and off-road tires make it ideal for coastal adventures.
- Skateboarding (Black): Targeted at thrill-seekers, this design merges skateboarding and BMX culture with forged carbon bodywork and hand-painted graffiti. It includes unique features like crash pods and a skate rack.
