Lightweight and Stylish Design

The Mantis, weighing in at only 182kg, stands out as the lightest in its segment. Available in Urban Black and Jungle Grey colors, its sleek design complements its performance capabilities, making it an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Impressive Performance Metrics

Capable of reaching a top speed of 135 km/h, the Mantis accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds. Notably, it features reduced acceleration from 0 to 20 km/h, taking only 2.7 seconds for improved drivability in city areas. The motorcycle’s 8.9 kWh battery pack provides an estimated range of 221 km. These features, along with the advanced technology, showcase Orxa Energies’ expertise derived from working with the defense and aerospace industries.

Years of Iteration and Testing

Dr. Prajwal Sabnis, Co-Founder of Orxa Energies, shares insights into the extensive development process, stating, “Our journey began in 2015,” and highlights the meticulous testing conducted on highways, city roads, and gravel tracks across the country. This commitment to refinement ensures the Mantis meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Strategic Alliances Strengthening the EV Ecosystem

Orxa Energies has forged strategic partnerships with Spare It, Bolt, and Nunam, enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. Nunam’s buyback services offer Orxa customers a 40% cost advantage for end-of-life batteries, while Spare It becomes the official service partner, providing extensive support. Mantis owners will benefit from Bolt’s expanding network of quick charging stations, ensuring convenient and seamless charging experiences.

Empowering the EV Community

Ranjita Ravi, Co-Founder at Orxa Energies, emphasizes the company’s commitment to fostering an ecosystem that empowers partners and customers. Ravi states, “With the Mantis, we aim to empower the broader EV community by providing access to essential resources that will drive the ecosystem’s growth and success.” The Mantis is positioned as a bike built by bikers, for bikers, reflecting the team’s dedication to meeting the needs and desires of EV users and enthusiasts.

Evolution from Concept to Lightweight Marvel

Orxa Energies introduced the Mantis concept in 2016, drawing parallels between electric motorbikes and ambush predators for their stealthy and swift characteristics. The initial prototype called the Trike, featured a metal tubular skeleton with a fixed battery pack. Over the years, Orxa Energies incorporated honeycomb composite materials to reduce weight, culminating in the public unveiling at IBW 2019. During the pandemic, the team focused on further weight reduction, achieving a remarkable decrease of over 25 kgs.

Innovative Features and Materials

The Mantis’s new model showcases cutting-edge features, including a lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum frame, a sophisticated battery monitoring system, and dual thermal protection. The IP67-certified casing ensures durability, and the digital 5” TFT dashboard adds a top-of-the-line touch. With a generous 180 mm ground clearance, one of the highest in its class, the Mantis represents a remarkable blend of style, innovation, and performance in the electric motorcycle landscape.
