Acer Launches Lightweight Ebii E-BIKE: AI-Infused Electric Bike (E-Bike) with 70 Miles Range

Acer, a manufacturer of affordable PCs, laptops, and peripherals, surprised everyone by producing an electric bike. The Taiwan-based hardware and electronics company has suddenly entered a completely unrelated, fiercely competitive field.

The Ebii electric bike is designed for city commuting, and its USP is an AI-powered control box that adapts motor assistance and gear-changing patterns based on the user’s driving behaviors and environment. Of course, the e-bike from Acer also has other cutting-edge characteristics that will make it a successful product.

Acer is making its mark in the e-bike market with the all-new Acer Ebii electric bicycle. This smart bike is designed for city dwellers looking for a safer and more convenient ride. Acer says that Ebii’s lightweight form factor and electric motor adapt to the rider’s needs and road conditions, providing a maximum assist speed of 20 mph.

Acer Ebii Electric Bike: A Commitment to a New Vision of E-bike

The all-new Ebii “delivers on our commitment to sustainability via technology and creative design, further motivated by the goal to enhance user’s mobility and experiences,” according to Jerry Kao of Acer. The e-bike is great for urban living because it is lighter than other cost-effective solutions on the market—weighs just 35 pounds. The ebiiGO app allows the rider to monitor things like the battery level, turn it on remotely, or switch between driving modes, providing them with a lot of flexibility.

The Acer Ebii has proximity-unlocking e-bike features that allow you to lock and unlock the e-bike anytime you are far away and unlock it again when you are close by to prevent mishaps. Making it safer and more convenient. A radar sensor is located under the saddle to alert the rider to any vehicles coming up from behind. The electric bike is protected from theft thanks to an integrated GPS tracker that allows for coordinate tracking and remote locking.

Ebii’s auto-lock systems and GPS positioning provide a safer ride, and the bike also comes with optional accessories including fenders and a rear lock. It is also designed to send immediate alerts whenever someone tries to move the bike.  The bike lights in every direction for added safety. If someone tries to move Ebii without permission, the bike’s auto-lock feature detects it and alerts the linked phone.

Acer claims that the replaceable 460-Wh battery housed inside the control box can travel around 70 miles on a single charge and can be fully charged in 2.5 hours. The battery life of Ebii is impressive, lasting up to two and a half hours depending on road conditions. The battery pack is also removable and can be used as a portable charger for your phone or other devices. The power brick can also be used to charge the bike on the go. This battery powers the 250-W motor on the e-bike, which can either be attached to the front-wheel drive system or the rear, which is another useful feature that riders will undoubtedly like. This motor can provide pedal assistance up to a speed of 20 mph in the US and 25 km/h in Europe. It produces 40 Nm (29.5 lb. ft) of torque. The e-bike can reach a top speed of 20 mph which is good.

The bike also features collision detection sensors and an anti-theft alarm that locks your bike when you leave it parked. The built-in GPS and companion app provides recommended routes and speed checks, while the intelligent vehicle control box allows you to lock and unlock the e-bike with ease. Acer Ebii electric bike is known for its advanced AI features and is perfect for city riders who want a smarter and more sustainable way to get around.

The aluminum alloy frame, which supports a transparent headlight portion, taillights, and strip lighting for improved visibility, is responsible for the e-lightweight bike’s looks. Depending on the time of day, the headlights can turn on and off automatically. Acer prioritizes sustainability, therefore they installed 20-inch wheels covered in 2.2-inch airless tires made of closed-loop recyclable materials.

For even greater scope utilization, Acer Ebii will offer optional equipment like fenders and a rear rack. Although neither a price nor a release date has been established, the impressive features of the e-bike should be enough to draw customers if Acer can keep the pricing low.
