At the Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico, Italy, the Australian company Vmoto held a special event to showcase the capabilities of light electric vehicles (EVs) against traditional combustion engine vehicles. The focus was on demonstrating the readiness and effectiveness of EVs for urban transportation.

During the event, Vmoto introduced their latest innovation: a prototype of a Superfast charging battery. This new battery is more compact and lighter than the current models and significantly reduces charging time. It can charge from 0% to 80% in just 30 minutes. With this advancement, Vmoto expands its urban mobility solutions, offering both the fast-charging and existing speed battery options for their scooters. This dual-option approach allows customers to choose the battery that best suits their needs, whether for reduced downtime for delivery services or everyday use.

Esteemed Guests and Upcoming Presentation

The prototype launch was graced by notable figures such as Jorge Lorenzo, a 5-time MotoGP champion and Global Testimonial for Vmoto, and Dario Marchetti, Vmoto’s World Ambassador. The final version of the battery will be unveiled at EICMA 2024. Following the press conference, journalists and dealers from across Europe had the opportunity to test three Vmoto L3 vehicles against three traditional gasoline bikes. This comparison aimed to highlight EVs’ competitiveness in urban mobility by focusing on handling, acceleration, and overall riding experience.

Scooter Models with Dual Battery Options

Every scooter model will come with two battery options, allowing customers to select the best fit for their needs. The comparison between Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles (ICEVs) and EVs focused on several key aspects:

  • Cost of use
  • Maintenance costs
  • Vehicle durability
  • Riding experience and handling
  • Stop & go and acceleration
